Young Explorers of Technology

Kindergarten students in Miss Maggy Schmidt’s class at Cissna Park Grade School shared an iPad that provided them with resources they were able to use to further their reading and math skills, thanks to a mini-grant from the Cissna Park Education Foundation.

“This iPad gave my students more opportunities to explore and discover new, fun ways to learn!” said Schmidt. “Along with student use, I have also been able to use the iPad to collect data on my students.”

Schmidt said having the iPad allowed her to walk around the classroom and collect notes while her students were working. This helped the classroom stay on track and also constantly provided her with current data she could use as she planned future lessons. She said this technology provided by the Cissna Park Education Foundation will continue to help students progress and excel.
